All month long, you can stop by the truck and drop off your entry to our “Name a treat” contest. Come up with the winning name, and we’ll create a treat to match the name! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate (our super cute Treats Truck dollars) and a Treats Truck t shirt! We can’t wait to see what delicious new treat will be named the winner. To entry, put the treat name, your name and contact info on a piece of paper, and drop it off at the truck. Since we are getting such a great response, we will pick one or two runners-up, who will each get a $10 gift certificate. We will feature all the winning treats on the truck as specials. Yum.
Tonight, our little truck Dot will be in the Meatpacking District as a part of an event featuring a special performance of HAIR at the Gansevoort Plaza. The performance starts at 6:30pm. Dot will open after the performance from around 8pm until about 10pm. Both guests of the show and the public are welcome at the truck!
Many of you participated in our last naming contest to name our chocolate sandwich cookie, the Chocolate Trucker. It’s time for another contest! What is the treat to be named? Good question! In fact, you can help answer that question. For our new contest, we invite everyone to give us name suggestions for a treat. When we pick the winning name, we will create a treat to match the name! It’s a girl! We have a second truck that is taking her first outing today, June 17th. Our first truck, Sugar, now has a little sister named Dot. Dot is smaller than Sugar and is pretty cute. Today, Dot will be at two of our regular spots. In the future, Dot will look for spots of her own, as well as showing up at her big brother’s favorite locations. Dot will have lots of our favorite treats, plus special Dot cookies called Swirlie Dots!
This week, Dot will also be on Sixth Ave & 20th Street on Friday afternoon and at the Gogol Bordello concert at McCarren Park Pool on Friday night from 5-10pm. We’re very excited to have both Sugar and Dot. Hurray for trucks. Hurray for treats.
Our truck Sugar hit the streets for the first time last year on June 9th. We think of that date as Sugar’s birthday. It’s not every day that a truck has a birthday, especially a first birthday, so we plan on celebrating this one all month long! We’ll have some special “Sugar’s bday” treats and another naming contest later this month ( our Chocolate Trucker was named through a naming contest!) We want to send a special thank you out to all of our customers for making our first year so wonderful.

Don’t you agree? Lots of our customers stop by with friends and often treat to a treat. Whether you’re treating a friend or treating yourself to something delish, we all deserve a treat or two. Have a friend in mind? Besides treating friends at the truck, you can also give them gift certificates (Treats Truck dollars that read “in treats we trust”). If they stop by the truck and don’t use the full amount, they’ll get a Treats Truck “leftovers” card with the amount they still have to spend. That way, there are cookies for another day and the gift goes on! You can also surprise them with a box delivered straight to their homes or offices with all their favorite treats. Hurray for treatin’. Hurray for treats.
A special hello to all our regulars! Lots of you often want big boxes of your favorites to take back to your offices or homes. Sometimes lately, we’ve already run out of some of those favorite treats for the day by the time you get there. What to do! We want you to have all the treats you crave. If you’d like, you can pre-order exactly what you want to pick up from the truck. That way, you are sure to get all the Jammys, Dots or Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies you want! Just email or call in your request the day before, and we’ll pack up a box for pick-up. Hurray for treats.
On Tuesdays we are usually on the corner of 38th and 5th but it seems today it is blocked off. Don’t despair! You’ll find Sugar, our beloved truck, just down the street in the middle of the block on 38th Street between 5th & Madison Aves.
